Bulk Crawler Readability Checker

Use a sitemap sample or URL list to prioritize pages that need deeper crawler checks.

Use the bulk checker to scan a sitemap sample or pasted URL list for pages that may expose thin raw HTML.

When to use it

The bulk check is useful when:

  • a website has several page templates
  • the homepage works but deeper routes are uncertain
  • you want to inspect launch-critical pages
  • an XML sitemap provides a useful URL inventory
  • you need to prioritize individual checks

What it checks

The free scan checks up to 10 URLs and summarizes:

  • raw crawler-style HTML readability
  • response status
  • title, meta description, and H1 coverage
  • thin-content signals
  • JavaScript application-shell patterns

The scan does not consume Prerender Buddy rendering capacity.

How to run the scan

  1. Choose sitemap mode or pasted URL mode.
  2. Enter a public XML sitemap or up to 10 important URLs.
  3. Run the scan.
  4. Review errors and thin pages first.
  5. Group results by page template rather than treating every URL as an unrelated problem.

For a first pass, include the homepage, pricing, documentation, important landing pages, and at least one dynamic route.

How to interpret the result

The bulk scan is a prioritization tool. A suspicious result should be confirmed with a detailed single-page check.

If several URLs from one template expose limited text or the same application-shell pattern, that may indicate a shared rendering issue. One isolated result may instead be a redirect, error page, blocked route, or page-specific metadata problem.

Important limitations

The scan uses raw crawler-style requests and a limited URL sample. It is not a complete site crawl and does not prove indexing, rankings, or AI usage.

Open an affected URL in Bot View Checker, then use Raw HTML vs Rendered HTML to confirm what JavaScript adds. For a detailed workflow, read How to audit crawler readability across an XML sitemap.
