Connect Wix Blog with a site API key and approved author, send reviewed article drafts or confirm publication, and verify the published response.

Connection and account access

Reviewed article publishing is available on current Starter, Growth, Pro plans. Effective trial, legacy and custom access can differ; check current plans and your account’s limits.

Configured API credentials, site and blog author. Blog articles, not arbitrary Wix pages; managed OAuth-app installation is not implemented.

This guide is public. Sign in to connect Wix in PB; credentials, workspace articles and publishing controls stay inside your account.

What PB sends to Wix Blog

Prerender Buddy can deliver a reviewed article as a Wix Blog draft and publish it after explicit confirmation.

The connection supports text, headings, links, lists, quotes, tables and code through Wix rich content. Images and embeds require a separate media workflow and are outside this version. Add them in Wix after draft delivery where needed, then review the final article.

This is a Wix Blog connection, not arbitrary Wix page editing or a managed one-click PB OAuth app installation.

Prepare the site and author

Wix Blog must be installed on the intended site. Use a Wix API key with access to that site and the permissions required by PB: Manage Blog, Read Members and Manage Ricos Document.

Use the site's UUID and an approved site member as the article author. A contact ID, collaborator ID or account-owner ID is not a substitute for the selected member ID.

The Wix draft-post reference explains the draft/publish distinction and author field. PB's supported content and setup requirements can be narrower than the full Wix API.

Connect Wix in PB

  1. Open your website in PB Sites, open Publishing and select Wix.
  2. Enter the site's API key and Wix site ID.
  3. Choose Load Wix authors and select the intended approved member.
  4. Choose Save destination and Check connection.

If no appropriate author is available, configure an approved site member in Wix before continuing. PB's author selection does not create a member.

Keep the API key in the authenticated form. Saving Wix replaces this PB website's other active publishing destination.

Review and deliver supported content

Generate or open a full article in PB, then review its title, claims, links and content format. Remove unsupported media or plan to add it in Wix after delivery. Approve the article version before choosing a CMS draft or confirmed publication.

PB saves a Wix draft first. A publication request is a separate step, so a saved draft does not mean the article is public. Check the returned delivery result and the Wix draft if publication fails.

PB uses a stable article identifier in the generated SEO slug. Verify the actual final URL instead of assuming the title alone determines it.

Review later changes and schedules

Wix can retain a draft for a published article. Editing that draft and publishing the change are separate steps; inspect both the Wix draft and public post to understand which version is live.

Use PB's separately confirmed publication schedule for an approved article when a later release is needed. An editorial calendar date does not publish it.

A Wix draft that is scheduled, under review or in an unsupported state may need attention in Wix before another PB delivery.

Diagnose an author or content failure

If author discovery fails, verify the site ID, approved member and the key's access to that site. Review Read Members permission separately from permission to manage blog posts.

If content conversion fails, check the Ricos permission and the article for unsupported media, embeds or formatting. Do not assume that the full Wix editor feature set is supported by PB.

Disconnecting PB does not delete Wix blog posts. Revoke the dedicated key in Wix separately when needed.

Verify and monitor the result

After confirmed publication, open the final public URL without signing in. Check the expected article, title, links and canonical URL. A saved CMS draft is not public, and a connection check does not prove that an article is live.

Use Health and Monitoring to inspect the published response. Connect rendering only if checks establish a missing or incomplete crawler-readable response. CMS publishing does not require a DNS change by itself.

Revisit the relevant AI Visibility questions under comparable collection settings. Later mentions or citations do not establish that an article caused the change, and publication does not guarantee indexing or AI recommendations.

Read the article and publication workflow or how PB connects the steps. Compare other destinations in Integrations.
